Mustang Families,
I am thrilled to share that our Mustang varsity football team has once again proven their talent and determination by securing the title of 3A North Division Champions! In a nail-biting game against Geraldine High School last night, our Mustangs punched their ticket with a final score of 48 to 43. This win has earned them a well-deserved spot in the 2023 AHSAA Super 7 State Football Championship in Tuscaloosa next week.
The state championship game is a momentous occasion for our school, and we are incredibly proud of our football team, band, and cheerleaders. Madison Academy will be facing Mobile Christian at Bryant Denny Stadium at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7. Our Mustangs have delivered an outstanding performance throughout an undefeated 14-0 season, showcasing not only their athletic prowess but also their qualities of compassion, sportsmanship, and respect. It's heartening to witness the support of our school community under the Friday Night Lights, and I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering encouragement.
In light of this significant occasion and recognizing the impact on our school community, I am pleased to announce that all classes from PK3 to 12th grade will be canceled on Thursday, December 7, allowing everyone the opportunity to be part of this exciting event.
All details about the AHSAA Super 7 can be found by visiting their website HERE. They’ve provided details on how to purchase tickets, parking maps, stadium information (such as their clear bag policy and cashless concessions). Bryant- Denny Stadium gates will open at 9am, and the Madison Academy’s Walk of Champions will begin at 9:15am.
Thank you for your continued support of Madison Academy. Stay tuned for more details about events this week. Go Mustangs!
Go Mustangs!
