President Bill Clinton will deliver the Keynote
Address, entitled "Embracing Our Common Humanity," at the Middle
East Institute's 64th Annual Conference. Former Deputy Prime
Minister of Lebanon H.E. Issam M. Fares will also be honored that
evening for his philanthropic contributions to education, social
welfare, development, and Middle East peace.
William Jefferson Clinton was the 42nd President of the
United States and the Founder of The William J. Clinton
Foundation. He was the first Democratic president in six decades
to be elected twice - first in 1992 and then in 1996. Under his
leadership, the country enjoyed the strongest economy in a
generation and the longest economic expansion in U.S. history,
including the creation of more than 22 million jobs.
Dress code: Business attire
Doors will close promptly at 7:00pm
Directions: The Grand Hyatt is at the corner of 11th and H streets,
NW, and
is adjacent to the Metro Center subway stop on the blue, orange,
and red lines.
