Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
REPENT TO HAVE THE LORD HEAL YOUR NATION ---- is listed in the above graphic as #11 of the blessings of God's Gift of Repentance. It's no less important than the #1 blessing " Repent to join Jesus' Kingdom."
Although he didn't call for a National Day of Repentance, President Reagan made major spiritual changes to our nation.
Like Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan too, had a born-again beginning as a Christian, thanks to his parents. His Christian character appeared often in speeches, including this except from a speech when, as President of the United States, he declared a "National Year of the Bible": " Of the many influences that have shaped the United States of America into a distinctive Nation and people, none may be said to be more fundamental and enduring than the Bible...The Bible and its teachings helped form the basis for the Founding Fathers' abiding belief in the inalienable rights of the individual---rights which they found implicit in the Bible's teachings of the inherent worth and dignity of each individual. This same sense of man patterned...the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution...There could be no more fitting moment than now to reflect...upon the wisdom revealed to us in the [Bible]."
At prayer breakfast in Dallas, Texas, in 1984, President Reagan said, in part: " Without God, there is no virtue, because there's no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we're mired in the material, that flat world that tells us only what the sense perceive. Without God, there is a coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under."
Earlier, in 1974, as Governor of California, speaking to a political convention, Ronald Reagan said: " I have always believed that there was some Divine plan that placed this great continent between two oceans to be sought out by those who were possessed of an abiding love of freedom and a special kind of courage...I know there have been other constitutions; new ones are being drawn today by newly emerging nations. Most of them--even the one of the Soviet Union--contain many of the same guarantees as our own Constitution; and still there is a difference. The difference is so subtle that we often overlook it, but it is so great that it tells the whole story. Those other constitutions say, ' Government grants us these rights,' and ours says, ' You are born with these rights, they are yours by the grace of God, and no government on earth can take them from you' ...Standing on the tiny deck of the Arabella in 1630 off the Massachusetts coast, John Winthrop said, ' We will be as a city upon a hill. They eyes of all people are upon us, so that if we deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be made a story and a byword throughout the world." Well, we have not dealt falsely with our God, even if He is temporarily suspended from the classroom [a reference to the 1962 Supreme Court decision banning voluntary prayer from public schools] ..We are indeed, and we are today, the last best hope of man on earth."

Join me in praying that men and women of God, like Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan , will come forward today in positions of national leadership to guide us again at this late hour to use God's "spiritual weapons" as our nation's most powerful resource.
As the Lord may lead, please pass this article along to your representative in Congress or any other Godly person with a national voice. May he or she find the courage to use "spiritual weapons" such as 2 Chronicles 7:14, to call for a national day of repentance.

We'll join you to pray for His Wisdom to make it happen where He's planted you--in your town, your city, your State, your nation, for such a time as this (Acts 17:26).
