Dedicated to the development of the future stewards of U.S.-China relations
Weekly Reading
At AMS we always stress the importance of reading original documents in Chinese. This week Xinhua posted a  speech from 2014   to the list of Xi’s most recent speeches (sourced from  Qiushi ). They slapped a new date of 9/15/19 on the header. While easy to pass off as editors simply trying to please the Chairman, there actually may be an important message in the speech.

For those who glibly claim Xi is going to be president for life, this should provide food for thought. Conclusive? Probably not. But important and relevant?
俗语 from Xi Jinping
bǐ bǐ jiē shì

Meaning: Ubiquitous; can be found everywhere ( 造句 )

This chengyu comes from the weekly reading — Xi's speech celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the National People's Congress ( Qiushi ).
