PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Kim Beynon, PMP, CPA, CGMA

PMINYC President, Board Director, Executive Coach and Speaker

To our PMINYC Community,

Wow! We are off to a roaring start in 2024!

After finishing 2023 with a 20% increase in membership, I have high expectations for

2024 – and so far I am thrilled to report your leadership team is delivering!

We hosted two sold-out events in January – the Coaching for Mentors workshop and

the Chapter Meeting--the largest in-person meeting since Covid! The

presentation on AI’s Workplace Impact at the Chapter meeting was so thought

provoking; I think we could have carried on discussing it for several more hours.

Hopefully, Dr Anna Tavis will be back to continue the discussion.

The following Leadership Team Members were appointed in January; please welcome...

New Board Members:

Songul Ayaz Alemdar – VP Programs

Edward Mandell – VP Finance

Max Pereira – VP Administration & Operations

Fred Stein - VP Professional Development

Nigel Thomas – VP Membership

New Committee Chairs:

Jennifer Gosden - Chair, Nominations & Elections Committee

Brian Timpe - Chair, Sponsorship Committee

Also, please welcome Hector Martinez San Martin who will be serving as my Chief of Staff this year.

We are happy to have a full Leadership Team in place!

On Saturday, January 20th, your leadership team convened for a day dedicated to strategic planning. We were privileged to host Pierre Le Manh, President and CEO of PMI Global, for lunch - it was a great conversation. Pierre graciously addressed all our pressing questions, making it a truly insightful and enriching experience. We feel fortunate to count Pierre among the distinguished members of our Chapter.

THE JANUARY SURVEY IS HERE!

We are currently in the process of formulating our strategy for 2024 and eagerly anticipate unveiling it at the 1st Quarter Town Hall; please join us as it will be exciting! An integral component of our strategic planning hinges on the forthcoming results of the Chapter's annual survey, expected soon...

In the interim, I am asking for your participation in a brief one-question pulse survey. We are eager to know: "What are you most looking forward to in 2024?" Your insights will play a crucial role in aligning our plans with the expectations of our community for the upcoming year. Your input is highly valued as we strive to create a strategy that resonates with and meets the needs of our diverse and vibrant community.

Looking forward to building on our successes in 2023 and continuing to grow and serve our Community!

As always, I am listening.

Until next month…

Kind regards,

Kim
