These final few months of 2023 we have so much going on that I wanted to use this space to draw special attention to specific upcoming events and to highlight the dedication and high caliber of work occurring behind the scenes! 

The Chapter is a veritable flurry of activity at the moment. So, here’s what’s going on…

Elections

Your vote for our Board Members really does count. Remember the PMINYC polls close THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28th. Please vote if you haven’t already! 

You should have received an email on October 15th from noreply@eballot.com with voting instructions. If you have any questions or issues, please reach out to the Nominations & Elections Committee at 2023elections@pminyc.org

Volunteer Drive

The Volunteer Drive isn’t over yet! Thanks to all those who have already answered the call! Please contact us to learn about the exciting initiatives we have planned, but only with your help!

Are you interested in: 

• Planning events? 
• Creating a member area on the website?
• Reaching out to our military community?
• Establishing a young project managers program?
• Bringing back the career development network?  

These are just some of the exciting things we need your help to make happen!

Annual Membership Meetings, Part I and II

Part I - Business in the Front

We are hosting the Annual Membership Business meeting virtually on November 20th – come find out what your Board of Directors have been up to this year and find out what is in store for 2024.

Part II - Party in the Back 

We are introducing a new and exciting event for Part II of the Annual Membership Business meeting – a cocktail party (optional black tie) at Robert Restaurant overlooking Central Park! Break out your favorite cocktail dress, ball gown or tux and come celebrate a night of fun and fellowship.  Prizes will be given out for best dressed!

Our Award-Winning Marketing Team

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge our Marketing Team. It has been quite the year getting our social media machine up and running post-Covid, and this team has worked hard to keep you well-informed and entertained without over-inundating you with emails. It’s a fine balance to maintain and it has earned them an award. The submission of the Team's 2023 Body of Work, including designs, graphics, videos and social media, etc., has been selected by our educational partner, IIL, to be featured at their International Project Management Day Conference on November 2, 2023. Come join us at the conference and see what good marketing is all about!

And all of this is in addition to our normal programming, including our upcoming chapter meeting on Wednesday, November 15th: Future Ready - AI in Design!
