Welcome PMINYC Community,
I’ve always believed that nature is one of life’s greatest teachers. It inspires change, re-energizes us, humbles us, and offers moments of joy, beauty, and growth. In many ways, it reminds me of PMINYC.
Change
As seasons shift, so too does leadership. I want to extend heartfelt thanks to Kim Beynon, our Immediate Past President, along with our 2024 Board of Directors and every volunteer who gave their time and talents to our chapter this past year. Your impact continues to echo. And now, with great enthusiasm, we welcome our 2025 Board of Directors supported by our volunteers! We’re thrilled to have you on this journey.
Invigoration
This first quarter, your Board of Directors hit the ground running. Together, with our department teams, comprised entirely of volunteers, we took a deep dive into our chapter’s ambitions and aligned them with the resources to bring them to life. I’m proud to share that we’ve already approved our 2025 Budget and submitted our Annual Plan and Catalog of Core Services right on time to PMI Global. Our roadmap is clear. Momentum is building.
Inspiration
We’ve heard you. Whether through your emails, conversations, virtual sessions, or survey feedback, your voices have helped shape an exciting portfolio of offerings in 2025. Whether you're just beginning your project management journey or are a seasoned expert, PMINYC has a place and a path for you. After all, our members are the reason that PMINYC exists.
Beauty
If you’ve ever seen a snapshot from one of our events, you know what I mean. The beauty of PMINYC lies in our incredible diversity. It gives us strength, brings fresh perspectives, and challenges us to grow, not just as professionals, but as people.
Fun Moments
Get ready for a year of energy and connection. From networking socials to our annual harbor cruise, from member meetups to our year-end community celebration, 2025 is packed with opportunities to laugh, connect, and build lasting memories.
Growth
Growth is at the core of PMINYC’s mission. That’s why we’re launching exciting new initiatives this year including the chartering of our first student club, the kickoff of our Business Advisory Council, and joining both the Brooklyn and Manhattan Chambers of Commerce. These strategic steps will strengthen our network and expand opportunities for our members.
And finally, Humility
Nature humbles us with its scale and unpredictability and so does leadership. It’s a privilege to serve you as President of this incredible organization. I’m continually humbled by the commitment, talent, and heart of our members and volunteers. Together, we’re not just managing projects, we’re shaping the future of our profession.
Let’s make 2025 unforgettable for our community!
Warmly,
Edward
President - PMINYC
