Next month, the Virginia General Assembly will kick off its next session. After many years advocating for transition to practice legislation, in 2025, VCNP will focus on building relationships and educating legislators about our key concerns and future legislative priorities. We also will support the legislative agenda of our nursing colleagues as we work to improve Virginia’s healthcare environment for patients and providers.

I hope you’ll join me for VCNP’s Lobby Day in Richmond on January 23 (or VNA’s Lobby Day on January 21). These are fantastic opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones with legislators across the Commonwealth.
