President's Desk Edition
From the President
****It’s been another historic year, to say the least! And while we flip the last page of 2021 and look forward to 2022, it’s time again to start compiling a list of resolutions. Lose weight, read more, get to the gym, spend more time with the family, and so on.
****It’s also the time to begin planning for a new year rich with unknown possibilities and opportunities. Your Chamber is already in high gear for a year we believe will provide an even greater return on your membership investment. Our many committees of dedicated volunteers have a fantastic line-up of events and programs in the works.
****What better way to kick it off than some predictions from seasoned experts on what the future holds! Focus on 2022: A Tampa Bay Economic Forecast will provide an outlook on what businesses can expect for the year from a national, state and regional perspective. It takes place Jan. 25. See below for more information.
****As you’re contemplating New Years’ resolutions, I would like to challenge you to add one to the list that I’m sure will reap positive results − join a Chamber committee! We have something for every interest...Government Advocacy, Economic Development, Women’s Leadership, Ambassadors Team, Chamber Cup Golf Tournament as well as some special event planning committees.
****During the next couple of months, please make it a point to attend at least one meeting to see if it’s the right fit for you. There’s no commitment. I can promise you that your participation will prove to be the greatest return on your membership investment.
****My best wishes this holiday season to each of you and may you all enjoy a happy, healthy and prosperous 2022!
