President's Edition

From the President’s Desk…

    Happy New Year!

I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season and continue to be successful with your resolutions. Mine was to 'exercise daily,' but my couch has a very convincing argument for staying put.

If you’ve made any business resolutions, be sure that getting more active with the Chamber is among them. It’s a sure way to increase visibility and meet some great people. It also helps in the continued growth of our business community. A rising tide does lift all boats!

This year, Chairman of the Board Pam Van Sant of National Aviation Academy has made membership growth/outreach a prime objective.  Help us grow by spreading the word about us and recruiting people you do business with who are not Chamber members. You’re our best sales team!

And don’t forget, your Chamber membership covers all your employees. So, help broaden their horizons and bring them with you or send them on their own to an upcoming meeting or function. They’ll make new friends and new business contacts. It’s all good!

Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025,

    Tom Morrissette

It’s a New Leads Team Year!

If you’re a Chamber business member looking to expand your customer base, consider joining a Leads Team as one of your “Business Resolutions” for 2025. There are already more than 40 people engaged in one or both of the two Teams now operating. Members meet twice a month to share business leads and build business contacts.

The success of the program is participation so regular meeting attendance is required. Cost to enroll is $100 for all of 2025 and the price of meals. Call the Chamber at 727-584-2321 for an application and to learn if your business is eligible to become a team player.

The Pinellas West Leads Team at Village Inn held its annual holiday gift swap during a recent meeting. Doing business, building friendships and having fun is behind the success of this longtime Chamber program.

NOW UNDERWAY - 2025 Annual Chamber Business Survey

Your Voice Matters! Now more than ever!

The annual Chamber Business Survey is being distributed to the full Chamber membership the week. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete. We hope to gain insight on how your business is doing, your workforce issues and the challenges you currently face or expect to face in 2025.

It will also include some questions specific to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The Chamber will share this information with our local community leaders as well as our state leaders in Tallahassee.

If you are not the primary contact at your business through your Chamber membership (check your listing at www.CentralChamber.biz), but would like to be included in the survey, please email tom@centralchamber.biz.
