Last month we reported on HB 177, an effort to allow APRN's independent practice authority.

It has long been the general position of CMA's physician leaders, to support scope of practice parameters that embrace a team approach to medicine, with each healthcare professional practicing at the top of their license. Physicians believe that patient care is best served when the team approach is based on physician leadership. HB 177 is not consistent with this thinking, but rather promotes independent APRN practice authority.

CMA physicians are strongly encouraged to consider contacting your Franklin County legislator about this issue. It will take just few minutes. Click here for more .
