Dear Members of the Sacramento County Bar Association:
Due to the rapidly changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, in an effort to maintain the safety of our staff, members, and the public, the SCBA Bar Office is closed effective immediately through Monday, April 6th. All events scheduled to occur in March, and possibly April, will be cancelled or postponed to a later date. In order to maintain our services to the public and members, SCBA staff will be working remotely to answer calls and emails including the Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS). The LRIS program will screen and accept cases based on attorney availability.
We will continue to provide support to members and the community in every way possible over the next three weeks. Based on CDC guidelines and restrictions recently announced by the Governor and the President, at this time, the position of the SCBA is that all in person meetings and gatherings should be discontinued. Any scheduled division, section or committee meetings should be held by videoconference or telephonic conference if mandatory business matters have to be conducted.
Each day we are learning more about COVID-19, so please understand that we will adjust our position and policies as this pandemic develops and different behavior is dictated.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. We know we will get through these uncertain times if we work together and prioritize the safety for all.
