    I'd like to open this edition with a reference to the New Clubhouse Project. An important update was issued via email to all current members in late December jointly from BC Chair - Chris Harper, NCCCC Chair - Kirsten MacLeod and myself. I hope that you have read this and if not, then you can view it at this link:

    I again ask that if you have not yet made a financial contribution, then please consider your position and help support this project financially. You can donate anonymously, tax receipts are issued and various forms of recognition are available for more substantial levels as well.     In the December edition of The Post, I requested support from the membership to help with the peak summer period activities and I would like to say a big thank you to the many that answered this call and helped to make a successful, busy and happy summer peak. Here I have highlighted the A to Z of how you have helped volunteer during the peak summer period:

    • A - Aquatic Sports training, carnivals, officials and coaching, Age Manager, Assessor.
    • B - BBQ cooking, Beach Cricket challenge with OGSLSC, Bernie Cook Surf Race.
    • C - Cleaning, Committee member, Club Champs, Callouts (LERT).
    • D - Doorknock.
    • E - Equipment repairs.
    • F - First Aid, Fundraising, Financial management and reporting.
    • G - Glaneuse Bar duty.
    • H - Helping when asked to.
    • I - Ice runs for the Bar.
    • J - Jet Ski patrols.
    • K - Keeping the Back Beach drowning free.
    • L - Lobbying for funds for Clubhouse and Back Beach Base, Letter writing.

    • P - Patrol, Preventative Actions., Pop Up Supervision Duty, Pink Zinc Patrol.

    • V - Value management meetings for New Clubhouse Project.

    • X - Xiphoid (avoiding) during CPR training.

    • Z - Zero drownings on our patrolled beaches.

    • Position STILL Vacant: Assistant Treasurer
      Do you have accounting / financial management experience and looking for a way to help out at the club?
      We are looking for an Assistant Treasurer to help in one of two ways - to either help with day to day tasks that the Treasurer does OR to assist with financial reporting for the New Clubhouse Project.
