    Improved email security on it's way
    We're improving the security of our email system and you will start to see a transition to - don't be alarmed - it's a step to making a more secure Club email network.

    U 13 development Camp
    Congratulations to Will Genovese, Akira Ellis and Chloe Evans for completing the U13 Development Camp!
    Senior Vice President James Coutie and Club Captain Charlie Pitney were also in attendance as group leaders!
    Well done everyone and we look forward to sharing the experiences soon!

    Patrols continue until Easter
    Summer may be over but we're still keeping the beaches safe!
    Please remember to check the patrol roster for your upcoming patrols. Make sure you contact your patrol captain if you can't make it.
    Patrol Hours
    A number of members have contacted us concerned that their patrol hours aren't being recorded correctly on the SLSA Members portal. This is because every patrol log has to be manually input into the system and is a very time consuming job! We have set aside some time on the Monday of Easter weekend to complete the logs.     YIPs Event
    Over Labour Day weekend Life Saving Victoria's 2015 Lifesaver of the Year, Michael Henderson (Fairhaven SLSC) spoke to 24 participants in the club's Youth Involvement Program (YIPs) about Pathways in Lifesaving.
    YIPs is an incentive program for 13-17 year old members where points are earned for club involvement in return for rewards. The program is intended to run over a 2-3 year period encourages members to get involved with LSV awards, development camps and employment opportunities.     Record Membership
    Last Season (17/18) we achieved a record membership of 1237 and this year we have broken it - the total currently stands at an impressive 1301 and have broken the 1300 target - well done all and thank you!

    Club Constitution
    Our Constitution Working Group have been working hard for that past two years to review and update the constitution. They are intending to hold a Special General Meeting on Saturday April 20 to discuss and implement their suggested changes.
    A notice of Special General Meeting, proposed constitution and FAQ sheet has been circulated to all members today via email. We would love your input and comments to make our club more efficient!

    The Executive Committee are really keen to get the "Bumblebee" up and running again. We're looking for a volunteer to help produce a quarterly newsletter. Work in your own time at your own pace - what a great flexible position. Please contact Steve Woodfull at

    Position STILL Vacant: Assistant Treasurer
    Do you have accounting / financial management experience and looking for a way to help out at the club?
    We are looking for an Assistant Treasurer to help in one of two ways - to either help with day to day tasks that the Treasurer does OR to assist with financial reporting for the New Clubhouse Project.
