ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE SPX GOLDEN GALA!
Dear St. Pius X Community,
Happy New Year! Christmas break was calm and quiet on campus, but we are full speed ahead with Catholic Schools Week kicking off on Sunday, and the bi-annual Gala hot on its heels. We’re dedicating this month’s entire President’s Press to this very special event, the SPX Golden Gala: Lights, Camera, Action!
On Saturday, February 7, the Mark Kelly Gymnasium will be transformed into Hollywood with all of the glitz and glamour you’d expect. It is going to be an unforgettable party, and more importantly, proceeds will benefit our school and students. Now, you might be thinking, “The Gala just means another ask for money.” While this might be true, unlike other schools, we only host our Gala every two years. Additionally, by having it every two years, it gives us more time to focus on throwing the best party!
The evening will feature a live band, delicious food, specialty cocktails, and a few surprises thrown in throughout the night. Our goal is to raise $250,000, including $100,000 for upgraded security cameras, highlighted that evening by a high-energy video featuring lots of Pius favorites! Our live auction is also a key element of the evening and includes trips to the Kentucky Derby and Cabo San Lucas, dinner for 10 with Father Robbie and Monsignor Lopez, and much more. For the live auction items, you must be present to win, so please consider buying a ticket today. If you can’t make it on February 7, there are still opportunities to win coveted items during the SPX Golden Gala Silent Auction, which runs February 2-6 only.
In closing, I would like to thank our Advancement team and Gala committee, led by Gala Chairs Amy Sery and Tiffany Chapman, for their year-long work on this incredible fundraiser for our school community. All roads lead to St. Pius X on February 7!
