FOSTERING A NURTURING ATMOSPHERE

Dear St. Pius X Family,

On Sunday, we welcomed nearly 300 prospective families to our annual Open House. The campus was buzzing with energy and excitement as the next generation of Golden Lions visited campus. After regaling our guests with his alumni speech, Brian Gee '10 remarked, “The best parts of St. Pius are our faith-filled community and loving atmosphere. It’s clear that these things remain unchanged.”

Brian’s comment resonated with me because while our school’s campus looks much different than it did even two years ago, our mission and values remain the same. Our young people live in a society where everything is permitted, but nothing is forgiven. Just as our Church isn’t perfect, neither are our young people, and it is our job to nurture them in a faith-filled community with a loving atmosphere.

This nurturing atmosphere is made possible because of our donors’ unwavering support and kindness. “Give Like a Golden Lion” is this year’s Annual Fund theme. Each year, we must rely on the generosity of our community, to the tune of nearly a million dollars, to keep the school operational. We hope the Golden Lion theme and related stories encourage people to invest in St. Pius X. You can read those stories by clicking HERE. If you have not already contributed, I hope you will join me with a gift to the Annual Fund today.

Please keep our students in your prayers during this busy time of year. Tests, projects, fine arts performances, and athletic competitions are in full swing, and they will soon begin to prepare for final exams. As we near Thanksgiving break, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to lead this faith-filled community. Together, we will continue to raise the bar at St. Pius while keeping our mission intact. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Domini Sumus,

Many thanks to the priests and seminarians who visited St. Pius X yesterday for the Priests vs. Pius Basketball Game! In this intense, 10-minute game, the priests took an early lead. In the final moments, the students took back the game, winning by one point with a final score of 11-10. Visit the St. Pius X Instagram page for video highlights!
