Exciting news from the Field House construction site! After a voting process involving students, faculty, and staff, we have officially christened the building. Among the five inspiring options - St. Sebastian, St. Joan of Arc, St. John Paul II, St. Maximillian Kolbe, and St. Hyacinth - the chosen name, by a narrow margin of 57 votes, is St. Joan of Arc! Her remarkable legacy as a fearless leader in the Hundred Years War and her unwavering faith have made her an enduring symbol of courage. Revered as the patron saint of France, soldiers, prisoners, the courageous, and the faithful, St. Joan of Arc's name will grace our Field House, embodying strength and conviction.
On September 14, St. Pius X, Parrish Construction, and CDH Architects marked the significant milestone of the "topping out" ceremony for the field house. This tradition celebrates the placement of the final structural beam, and students and faculty had the opportunity to sign the beam earlier in the week. Witnessing the progress of the St. Joan of Arc Field House fills our community with excitement!
