THE FUTURE OF ST. PIUS X TAKES SHAPE

Dear St. Pius X Community,

Recent issues of the President’s Press have shared ways in which the pillars of our strategic plan are guiding St. Pius X by inspiring excellence in the classroom, building community with our benefactors to strengthen the St. Pius family, and igniting futures through expanding access to a St. Pius X education. In this issue, I am pleased to focus on our fourth pillar, Transforming Spaces.

Our goal in transforming our spaces is to cultivate a campus that inspires faith, fosters belonging, and opens doors to what is possible. Our first Transforming Spaces priority is renovating our Chapel, which is the heart of our campus and our mission. Just as God is true and good, physical spaces dedicated to Him should embody beauty to lift the human mind toward the divine. Phase One has been completed with a raised altar, new carpet, and paint. Phase Two will include new pews and doors, a quiet space for prayer in the back corner, and a beautiful reredos behind the altar.

Another major Transforming Spaces pillar priority is to create a new master plan for St. Pius.  I’m pleased to announce that we recently completed an exciting 20-year plan that significantly enhances our campus. Key highlights include targeted main building renovations, campus beautification projects, a reimagined Seaver Sports complex, improved student parking options, and the creation of a second entry and exit onto Frontier Trail to ease traffic. You will hear more about these in the coming months.

A master plan this transformative is only possible through the generosity of people who love St. Pius X. As we look toward the future, the most impactful way you can help carry this momentum forward is by supporting our Annual Fund. Annual Fund gifts immediately strengthen our campus, elevate student life, and enhance our campus ministry program; in essence, funding the very heart of what makes St. Pius so special. We invite you to join us in investing in our future as we shape the next chapter together.

Yet, even as we envision a transformed St. Pius X, we know that our greatest strength is not found in brick and mortar, but rather in the people that call this school their “home.” We remain committed to fostering a deep sense of belonging through experiences that unite us, whether in the classroom, through encounters with Christ, or through athletic and artistic endeavors. If we do that, we will ensure that as we set sail into the future, we will remain true to our mission for years to come.

May God Bless You and may He continue to bless St. Pius X Catholic High School.

Domini Sumus,

Aaron Parr ‘06

President

We thank everyone who joined us for the first two sessions of our History of St. Pius X Speaker Series with Aaron Parr '06 and Mark Kelly '70. If you missed the first two sessions, you are still welcome to join us for the final session featuring Steve Spellman on November 5. Steve is a wonderful storyteller with a wealth of memories and experiences to share, offering a unique glimpse into the people, traditions, and moments that have shaped St. Pius X. We look forward to continuing the series and seeing you there!

A RENEWED SPACE FOR WORSHIP

Robbie as he shares the exciting updates underway. From new flooring and fresh paint to a raised altar, your generosity is actively transforming our sacred space — with even more to come, including new pews and doors. When you give to the Annual Fund, you ensure our students and community have an inspiring, beautiful place for prayer and worship at St. Pius X. SPX Alumni, Parents, & Friends: The 2026 Career Day Needs You!

Save the Date: Friday, November 13, 8:30-11 a.m.

Our students are often asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Being a presenter at the 2026 SPX Career Day is a perfect way to help them confidently answer this question.

SPX Career Day is an opportunity for alums, parents, and friends to directly impact our junior and senior students' futures. We need your help to showcase a wide range of career paths for our students. We welcome first-time and returning presenters!

As a presenter, you will host one or two in-person sessions during the morning, presenting 15-20 minutes of material regarding your career and fielding questions from the students. This simple, 2.5-hour commitment is one of the most significant volunteer contributions you can make at St. Pius X. Please click this link to indicate your willingness to participate.

FROM ST. PIUS X TO THE WORLD SERIES!

It’s time to cheer on Chandler Simpson, class of 2019! The Tampa Bay Rays outfielder is headed to the 2026 World Series, where the Rays will take on the Milwaukee Brewers beginning Friday, October 23.

Chandler’s journey from Spellman Field to baseball’s biggest stage is a proud moment for our entire Golden Lions family. He is the son of Dr. Edye Simpson, our retired principal. Join us in cheering for Chandler and the Rays!

DOMINI SUMUS RETREAT BRINGS STUDENTS TOGETHER IN FAITH

More than 40 students gathered at Life Teen Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega last month for the annual Domini Sumus Retreat. Centered on belonging and making space for everyone in the St. Pius X community, the weekend brought our school motto, Domini Sumus, We are the Lord's, to life.

Through prayer and plenty of fun, students had the opportunity to deepen friendships and grow closer to Christ. As Fr. Robbie shared, “It was beautiful to encounter the Lord together.”

Thank you to Campus Ministry and all the chaperones who made this meaningful weekend possible!

GOLDEN LIONS GATHER FOR ALUMNI REUNION WEEKEND

What a turnout! Hundreds of Golden Lions returned to campus October 9-11 for a weekend full of fellowship and school spirit. From the Alumni BBQ and class reunions to the Athletic Hall of Fame, pickleball tournament, and Mass of Remembrance and brunch, the weekend offered something for everyone. It was wonderful to see so many alumni celebrating the lifelong connections that make our St. Pius X family so special! Click the video above to enjoy some photos!

GRANDPARENTS MAKE OUR PRIDE EVEN STRONGER!

Grandparents make our St. Pius X family even more special! On October 2, we welcomed the grandparents of our freshmen and new students to campus for Grandparents' Day, a morning filled with music from our band program, artwork by our visual arts students, breakfast, campus tours, and Mass with Fr. Robbie.

Thank you to all our grandparents for joining us and for the love and support you bring to our St. Pius X community. We’re so grateful you’re part of our Golden Lions family!
