THE POWER OF FAITH IN ACTION

Dear St. Pius X Families,

As we reach the eighth week of this school year, I am deeply grateful for the many blessings that continue to unfold within our community. With His guidance, our students, faculty, and families have embraced the return to campus with enthusiasm and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, we are witnessing the power of faith in action—both in academic achievements and in our shared commitment to nurturing the whole person. I am excited to share updates and highlights that reflect the grace and growth we are experiencing this year.

In August, I shared with you our receipt of a large grant to renovate the Donnellan Center weight room and transform it into a cutting-edge STEM lab classroom for our students. I am happy to share that construction is underway and moving fast. We anticipate that the new STEM lab will be completed before the end of this semester! Increasing our STEM opportunities is a priority for our school, and I am excited about the opportunity to offer our students new course offerings.

Our strategic planning process continues to move forward behind the scenes. We have a steering committee meeting next week to present new initiatives for our school with the goal of implementing our plan through the year 2030. Our initiatives are student-focused and reflect our mission of Catholic identity and academic excellence. Our goal of announcing our strategic plan this school year is still a reality, and I am grateful to so many who have helped us in this process.

This weekend is Homecoming at St. Pius X. I want to extend an invitation to our alumni to come back to campus and see all the exciting campus updates from our Ring the Bells Capital Campaign. The football game and alumni barbecue is on Friday night. Class reunions for class years ending in four and nine are taking place on Saturday night, and we will conclude the weekend with Mass with Bishop Tran and campus tours on Sunday. Please pray for good weather!

In closing, may God continue to bless our school community, students, and alumni as we continue His work of preparing students for college and heaven.

STUDENTS EARN SPANISH SEAL OF BILITERACY

Congratulations to the following AP Spanish students who applied for and earned their Seal of Biliteracy through the Global Seal of Biliteracy Program this summer. The Global Seal of Biliteracy is a verifiable international certification that conveys proficiency with language skills in two or more languages for our qualifying candidates. Emphasizing the importance of multilingualism in today's global economy, the Global Seal of Biliteracy celebrates linguistic achievements and enhances opportunities in multicultural environments. The Global Seal offers three distinct certification levels that account for different degrees of fluency: Functional Fluency™, Working Fluency™, and Professional Fluency™. Click HERE to learn more about the program.

St. Pius X is so proud of these students and their AP Spanish teacher, Mrs. Silvia Garcia de Nichols!
