Dear Families,
Welcome to our first President’s Update for the 2023 - 2024 school year! I trust that you had a restful and enjoyable summer. We have been busy preparing to welcome your son or daughter to what promises to be an exciting and transformative school year. Please make sure to read this entire update weekly so that you are aware of the information and many upcoming events at Malden Catholic.
This year, our Principal, Mr. Jeff Smith, and our Director of Mission Integration, Brother Thomas Puccio, will be helping me with the weekly President’s Update note. Our three-week rotation will allow you to hear from each of us as we share information and reflect upon the mission of Malden Catholic. We can all look forward to seeing what my “coauthors” share over the school year.
Connecting with our families is vital. The President’s Update is one meaningful way for us to do this. To ensure we understand the content you prefer along with other needs you many have, we have developed a short survey for you to share feedback. There is a link below, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know how this weekly communication can best serve you and your family.

Dress Code
After consulting with members of the MC community, including students, parents, faculty, and administration, modifications have been made to the student dress code. Please review the 2023 - 2024 Dress Code Update through this link.
2023 - 2024 Mini Calendar
The MC Mini Calendar has been created to layout the full school year at a glance for the community. The calendar is a quick reference but we would like to remind families that our online calendar, which is also available on the MC Mobile App is the most accurate. You may download the mini calendar here or pick up a hard copy at the MC front desk.
50 Crystal Street Construction
As President Thornburg had mentioned during parent meetings last year, MC will begin construction on 50 Crystal Street, the building that the school owns across from Malden Catholic. The first phase of construction includes the demolition of the existing building. This is a standard demolition project and construction workers will need to remove old caulking and wear required protective clothing and possibly hazmat suits on the site. There is no risk or hazard beyond the immediate contact worker area. This is an exciting time for Malden Catholic, and our plans are still in development for 50 Crystal Street and the expansion of MC's programs.

Malden Catholic is committed to growing a healthy community by making sure any information we pass along comes from our Administrative team. Our official social media pages are the most accurate, up-to-date source of information and the President's Update is our weekly news source for the school. We strongly encourage our parents to follow these official Malden Catholic social media platforms:
Throughout the year, if any of our families have questions regarding Malden Catholic, we ask that they call or email one of our MC Administrators for accurate information rather than relying upon unofficial information channels.
