A Message From Tara Tomcsik-Husak
Troy Chamber Members,

The safety of our Troy Chamber Members and staff is our number one priority. I am sure you are all aware of how COVID-19 is affecting our businesses and our daily routine. Under the advisement of the Oakland County Health Division, we will be closing the Troy Chamber office and working remotely until March 27 th (subject to change). While we are not in the office, we are still working hard to find creative ways to connect and serve our members during this time. To best reach us, please email the person you are trying to reach or email [email protected] and we can follow up with you as soon as we can.

We recognize that the facts about COVID-19 are still emerging, and that the uncertainty can be troubling. We are doing our best to keep our members and businesses informed and safe during this time and will be monitoring the Coronavirus / COVID-19 on a day-by-day basis. With recommendations from Governor Whitmer and Oakland County to avoid large gatherings, we will be postponing and/or cancelling all face-to-face chamber events until the end of this month.  We ask that you please check www.troychamber.com for up to date information on all events and updates moving forward.

While we are not promoting large gatherings, we also know that many of you will continue with your daily routine as best as you can. Because we care about you, we are asking everyone to be mindful and understanding of personal space and refrain from physical contact including handshaking, hugging, fist-bumping, etc. We are encouraging everyone to follow guidelines the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services have provided; such as washing hands frequently (for a minimum of 20 seconds), avoiding touching your eyes and face, and staying home if ill.

We know there is plenty of confusion and believe it is crucial that we rely on experts for the most accurate information regarding the Coronavirus/ COVID-19, which is why the Troy Chamber is following public health agencies such as the CDC, Oakland County Health Division, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to stay abreast of what to do in case of an outbreak, as well as what precautionary measures are recommended. Below are some helpful links if you would like more information on COVID-19:

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus

Centers for Disease Control:

In addition, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided a resource page for businesses including a toolkit for businesses and will update this interim guidance as needed and as additional information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and commitment as we respond to this evolving situation together. We understand this is a difficult time for all our businesses and we will get thru this together. We know you will all need the Chamber more than ever, as we get through these next few weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. The Troy Chamber will remain committed to our members as a resource for you and your business needs.

We appreciate your continued support of the chamber and all the members that we serve.

Sincerely ,
Tara Tomcsik- Husak
