Hello Optimist Club Presidents,
Celebrate Community is a joint initiative of the four largest international service organizations, Optimist, Lions, Kiwanis, and Rotary during the week of September 14-21, 2025. This year we continue our focus on local community service. Local Clubs are encouraged to reach out to one another for collaboration on projects that improve and benefit their communities. A joint project allows community members who are serving in different Clubs to learn more about each other, their organizations, and their combined efforts to help children and adults with environmental or financial difficulties.

As we sit on the cusp between this optimist year and the next, I urge you to give it your all for a strong finish. Newton’s Law explains it to us very clearly, a body at rest will need great force applied to it to get moving. Conversely, a body in motion will continue their movement forward without much effort. Optimists, together let us get the momentum going upward. Then we can use that momentum to continue upward right into October and beyond. Do not delay, use these two months to strengthen your membership numbers and engage all of your members to retain them!
