Hello Optimist Club Presidents,
Health and Wellness grant deadlines are coming up for both of our Foundations. I have summarized the information for both below. Please visit their websites for more information. Take advantage of this resource for your club and community!
The Optimist International Foundation’s Childhood Health & Wellness Program grant applications are due no later than August 22. 2025.
Childhood Health & Wellness will include four focus areas (not limited to the examples below):
- Healthy Lifestyles (Child Obesity, Healthy Eating, Physical Fitness, Happy Heart Advice, March of Dimes)
- Chronic Diseases (Childhood Cancer, Juvenile Diabetes, HIV, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Sickle Cell Anemia)
- Mental Health (Depression, Bullying, Abuse)
- Disabilities – Physical, Intellectual & Developmental (Autism, Special Olympics)
Grant guidelines and application for the OIF CH&W are available using the links below. The application is fillable after you download it to your computer, making it easy to submit online when completed.
The Canadian Children's Optimist Foundation (CCOF) Spread Relief grant applications due by August 31, 2025.
The Spread Relief program seeks to provide grants to Canadian Optimist clubs to help them develop childhood health related projects that will make a real difference in the life of children in need in their community. The program includes projects focused on assisting children and families dealing with mental and physical health issues, including Childhood cancer, and promoting and raising awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to inspire entire communities.
The Spread Relief Program is the Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation’s (CCOF) way to help your Club launch a childhood health and wellness related project.
- Grants of up to $ 3,000.00
- Optimist Club can only be awarded 1 grant per year.
- One-time grant per project.
