DERRY, IRELAND

Derry, also known as Londonderry, is a city on the River Foyle in Northern Ireland. It’s known for the intact 17th-century Derry’s Walls with 7 gates. Derry is the only remaining completely intact walled city in Ireland, and one of the finest examples of a walled city in Europe. The walls constitute the largest monument in State care in Northern Ireland and, as part of the last walled city to be built in Europe, stand as the most complete and spectacular. Within the walls, spired St. Columb’s Cathedral displays artefacts from the 1688–9 Siege of Derry. Near the Peace Bridge, the Tower Museum has city views and historical exhibits. Huge stained-glass windows adorn the neo-Gothic red sandstone Guildhall.

Shanghai, the city with an eclectic architectural history

With a population of 24.89 million as of 2021, Shanghai is the most populous urban area in China and the most populous city proper in the world. Shanghai is a fascinating mix of East and West. It has historic shikumen (石库门)houses that blend the styles of Chinese houses with European design flair, and it has one of the richest collections of Art Deco buildings in the world. As there were so many concessions (designated districts) to Western powers during the turn of the 20th century, in many places the city has a cosmopolitan feel. There is everything from classic Parisian style, to Tudor style buildings that give an English flair and 1930s buildings reminiscent of New York or Chicago. Shanghai Tower is the tallest building in China and the world's third-tallest building by height to architectural top.

Consumers’ travel choices are now largely driven by social conversations and e-reputations. Destinations and travel businesses need to access and comprehend the consumer sentiments to gain exposure.

May you have a wonderful summer weekend.

Best regards,
