KastKing Debuts Biggest Baitcaster Fishing Reel to Date
KastKing introduces a low profile large fishing line capacity baitcasting fishing reel with exceptional properties.

(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – APRIL 1, 2019 – GARDEN CITY, LONG ISLAND, NY) This week KastKing ( www.kastking.com ) a brand of Eposeidon, Inc., in New York took a step away from their typical lineup of low profile baitcasting fishing reels with the release of the new KastKing Kapstan 300 Elite wide body, large capacity baitcaster.
Within weeks of KastKing presenting their smallest body low profile baitcaster yet at the Bassmaster Classic Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, KastKing has delivered the Kapstan 300 Elite to the fishing tackle market. It is their largest capacity low profile baitcasting reel specifically targeted for bass fishing swimbait, catfishing, salmon, steelhead, musky, pike, walleye, and inshore saltwater striped bass, fluke, red fish, and tarpon anglers.
Remarkable features of the KastKing Kapstan 300 Elite fishing reel include eight double shielded stainless steel ball bearings, stainless steel main shaft, stainless hardware throughout, and enhanced brass alloy pinion and main gears for saltwater durability. Kapstan has centrifugal brakes, an audible line-out alarm with an on–off switch, drainage holes that assist cleaning, and a specialized triple disc carbon fiber drag that generates 35 lbs of drag power. The wide body, low profile Kastking Kapstan 300 Elite has a weight of only 10.8 ounces made possible by the use of a reinforced graphite body that makes it stable and strong enough to handle very large fish and baits. It is available in right hand and left hand models.
KastKing Kapstan Elite has a 5.4:1 gear ratio and retrieves fishing line at a rate of 25.31 inches per turn on its aluminum spool that has a spool tensioning nut with click adjustments. Line capacity is rated at 230 yards of 14 lb monofilament or 240 yards of 50 lb test KastKing KastPro braided fishing line. Kapstan 300 features a wide (5.1in/130mm), aluminum handle with large EVA grips for added leverage when fighting on big fish.

“KastKing Kapstan offers anglers a versatile go-to large capacity reel for saltwater or freshwater,” says Tom Gahan Chief Marketing Officer at KastKIng. “It’s been tested in a wide range of conditions from Montauk Point, Long Island New York on striped bass to 40 lbs to sturgeon and salmon in the Columbia River with consistent, excellent results. It gives KastKing a reel to venture further into the saltwater fishing tackle market, and at the same time, it is a perfect match for our new KastKing Speed Demon Pro Magnum Swimbait Rods for largemouth bass fishing.”
Unique assets of the KastKing Kapstan 300 baitcasting reel is its braid-ready spool that eliminates adding mono line backing before filling the reel. There is also a line reminder indicator on the palm side of the reel, so an angler can see instantly what size line is on the spool. The centrifugal braking system is easily accessed or changed through the palm side cover by easily unlocking the open/close switch without it opening accidentally. Kapstan has drainage ports to assist cleaning and maintenance.

“In recent months, KastKing has launched an avalanche of new products including fishing rods, reels, tools, sunglasses, and tackle management product,” says AL Noraker, VP of Business Development at KastKing. “We listen to our customers carefully in determining where we go next in our development of industry leading products.
“It was clear that today’s anglers were looking for a high capacity, low profile casting reel to use with giant swimbaits, Alabama rigs, large crankbaits, large live and cut baits, and so much more. We listened and as always, we’ve now delivered the new Kapstan 300 casting reel and it has quickly become one of my personal favorites.

“I’ve used this reel across the country for walleye, salmon/steelhead, stripers, sturgeon, catfish and of course largemouth bass. The new Kapstan is perfectly at home in saltwater as it is in fresh. It casts like a dream; It is smooth as silk. When it comes to Kapstan's 35 lbs of drag power, there is no match.
. “I recently took the Kapstan to Alaska to fish in the Homer Winter King Salmon Derby and it performed flawlessly on downrigger rods in Kachemak Bay. But, here’s the real story from that trip. We were targeting King salmon as they head toward their spawning grounds, trolling flashers and live bait from 40’ to 90’ deep. Besides salmon, these fertile waters are breeding grounds for many other big species and I was lucky enough to hook a large halibut while trolling for salmon. The Kasptan reel performed incredibly well on this hard-fighting fish and after a short fight, I landed a 68 lb. Halibut. The butter smooth drag protected the light, 30 lb. KastPro braid but also provided enough power to stop long runs and get him to the surface. We landed two more Halibut about the same size on the Kapstan during our trip with the same result. If I wasn’t a believer in the power and comfort provided by the Kapstan before, I certainly am now.
KastKing Kapstan Elite will sell at an online discounted price of $119.00 initially at Amazon.com/kastking
