Castro Valley Board of Education Appoints
Director of Business Services & Directors of Educational Services


Castro Valley, CA - (March 22, 2018) - The Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action and appointed Ms. Tricia Feucht as the Director of Business Services, Ms. Denise Hohn as the Director of Educational Services, and Ms. Nia Rashidchi as the Director of Educational Services.

Ms. Tricia Feucht has been selected to fill the position of Director of Business Services.  Ms. Feucht is replacing Ms. Suzy Chan who was recently promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. Ms. Feucht has been a 20 year employee of Castro Valley Unified, and most recently stepped in as Interim Director. Ms. Feucht began her career in Castro Valley as a substitute in 1988, and quickly moved into a permanent position at Creekside Middle School.  During her tenure, Ms. Feucht has continued to move into positions with increased responsibility in the District's Business Department. Ms. Feucht has a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley.

The Educational Services Division includes several departments supporting the various aspects of curriculum, instruction, students services, special education as well as assessment. Ms. Denise Hohn was named as one of the two Director of Educational Services at the February 8, 2018 board meeting. Ms. Hohn has been an employee in Castro Valley for over 30 years. She brings a great deal of experience to this new role as well as a passion and commitment to Castro Valley Unified and the community.  We are very excited to have Denise in this new position effective next school year.
 
Ms. Nia Rashidchi was named the Director of Educational Services at the March 22nd Board Meeting. Ms. Rashidchi comes to us with tremendous experience in educational services. Most recently, Ms. Rashidchi served as the Associate Superintendent of Educational Services in West Contra Costa School District.  During her tenure in WCCUSD, Ms. Rashidchi served in several roles which included Associate Superintendent, Executive Director, Coordinator of State and Federal Programs, and Principal.  Ms. Rashidchi's education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Pacific in Stockton and a Master's Degree in Education Administration from San Jose State University.
