“MADE IN CLOVIS” IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER

The 2nd annual celebration of Creativity is scheduled to take place during ClovisFest 2022

Clovis, CA, August 1, 2022 – Clovis community leaders announced that the Made In Clovis section of ClovisFest is back for its second year. Coming off a very successful inaugural 2021 campaign, Made In Clovis is a showcase and celebration for those who have succeeded in building a better mousetrap, or perhaps created something to solve a problem that we didn’t know existed, and everything in between. Participants will be featured in a special section of ClovisFest in Old Town Clovis on September 24& 25,2022.

Tech wizards, crafters, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science buffs, artists, students, and commercial organizations are encouraged to participate to show off their items, inventions, or ideas in the categories of technology, food, crafts, and more. There’s even a kid’s section for those under 18 years old. (For more information on kids registration information please visit childrensbusinessfair.org/fresno-clovis or email cbffresnoclovis@gmail.com.

But this event is not limited to start-ups. Existing business that utilize innovative processes to create goods are also invited to participate. “In talking with many Made In Clovis participants from last year, they were thrilled with the response from the 2021 ClovisFest crowds. I am very excited to see what this year’s participants will bring to the streets of Old Town Clovis this September. We really have some incredibly talented people in our community” said Shawn Miller, City of Clovis Business Development Manager.

Participants will receive a booth space in the Made In Clovis section of ClovisFest at a minimal cost. During the event, selected participants will be visited by local business leaders, mentors, city officials, and entrepreneurs who will evaluate each participant and select several to receive follow-up mentoring, training and resources to further expand their business/invention or idea. “Made in Clovis is a great showcase for local business. This could be the start of something magical for many of our participants. It can propel them to great success.” said Rich Mostert, Director of the Valley Community Small Business Development Center.
