The Down Syndrome FOUNDATION of Florida is thrilled to announce the return of its 14th Annual iCan! Bike Camp, an uplifting and life-changing experience for individuals with Down syndrome and other unique abilities. This year’s event will take place Monday through Friday, July 21-July 25 at the Orange County Convention Center – South Concourse, located at 9899 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Each year, this powerful program helps participants achieve a milestone many thought impossible: learning to ride a two-wheel bicycle independently. With the support of adapted cycling equipment, highly personalized instruction, and a team of committed volunteers, iCan! Bike Camp continues to prove what’s possible when inclusion and innovation come together.

Event Highlights:

  • Dates & Time: July 21 - July 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.
  • Location: Orange County Convention Center, SOUTH Concourse, 9899 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819
  • Volunteers: Around 100 dedicated high school students from Central Florida, bringing energy and support to the camp.
  • Program: Specialized training with adaptive bikes and personalized instruction to help each participant learn to ride independently.
  • Impact: Participants gain confidence and independence, creating lasting memories and skills that extend far beyond the camp.

Why This Event Matters

The iCan! Bike Camp is so much more than a riding lesson—it’s a celebration of possibility. For many families, this camp marks a turning point, as their loved ones experience the joy of independence, build lasting confidence, and discover that they are capable of far more than they imagined.

With the help of nearly 100 enthusiastic high school volunteers, campers are cheered on every step (and pedal) of the way, creating a week filled with encouragement, connection, and community.

Media Invitation: Come Tell These Incredible Stories

We warmly invite local and regional media outlets to experience the heart of this week long journey. Hear from families, meet volunteers, and witness the moment a camper rides a bike solo for the first time—a scene that never fails to inspire.

We will gladly coordinate interviews with participants, families, coaches, and FOUNDATION leaders. Photo and video opportunities will be available each day.
