University Museums Announces Free Events Open to the Public for the Spring 2024 Semester

“With so many programs, there really is something for everyone. We have tours, receptions, a film screening, presentations, a date night and more,” said Alisha Abner, communications specialist for University Museums. “Most of this semester’s events are in-person, but we do have some exciting virtual options! Bringing experts in via Zoom furthers Museums’ land grant mission of making visual and cultural arts accessible to all.” | |
All University Museums programs and events are free and open to the public. Programs and events are subject to change. Registration is not required unless noted. By registering, attendees receive direct information about any changes to the event, and if the program is virtual on Zoom, a direct link via email. Not all events have registration options. The University Museums website and Facebook page will have the latest information. Attendees should check the ISU Parking Division website for the latest parking information.

Presented by Mary Lee Corlett, former Associate Curator, Modern & Contemporary Prints & Drawings, National Gallery of Art, this talk will focus on the artistry of her printmaking practice and the multitude of ways in which print processes served her activist vision by facilitating modernist strategies such as repetition and appropriation, engagement with pattern and line, texture, color play, use of positive and negative space, and reversal.

Christian Petersen in Context

Fountain of the Four Seasons Renewal Update and Spring Seed Planting
