MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Steffane Timm as the new Co-Director for Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC) for Wisconsin and Minnesota.

"We are thrilled to have Steffane on board to co-lead VBOC@WWBIC. She brings several years of experience working with veterans as well as management, networking and general business experience," said Kamaljit K. Jackson, Ph.D., WWBIC Vice President of Programs and Operations. "A veteran herself, Steffane understands the barriers faced by the veteran community and will translate this experience to assisting veteran small business owners and walking alongside them in their entrepreneurial journeys."

As VBOC@WWBIC Co-Director, Timm will be responsible for implementing the execution of the VBOC Cooperative Agreement in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She will develop vision & strategy, direct & monitor related programming, and coordinate "Boots to Business/Reboot" events. She will work in tandem with VBOC@WWBIC Co-Director for Minnesota and Illinois, Keith Murphy.

Prior to joining VBOC@WWBIC, Timm served as the Veteran Market Director at Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin in Racine. During her tenure, Veteran Market attendance increased by 60%. Steffane's military service came with the 826th Ordinance out of Milwaukee in the U.S. Army Reserves, where she was an Ammunition Specialist. She also has experience as a sign shop manager and a graphic designer.

Timm is currently working toward a second Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She already holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
