6th Street Playhouse Presents Wait Until Dark
A tense thriller from the first moment to the last!

SANTA ROSA, CA ( October 18, 2019 ) 6th Street Playhouse—Jared Sakren, Producing Artistic Director—presents Wait Until Dark by Frederick Knott, directed by Meghan Hakes.

The production will run October 18th through November 15th, 2019, on the Playhouse’s intimate Monroe Stage, putting patrons right next to the action to wait for the dramatic climax in the dark.

A blind woman becomes the target of three conmen when her husband unknowingly ends up with the heroin-filled doll of a murdered woman. The trio convinces her that to protect him she needs to give  them  the doll. But the doll goes missing.

Things spiral out of control when she catches on and calls the police—only to have her call intercepted. Using her blindness to advantage, she forces them to play by  her  rules.

This pulse-pounding play is more terrifying than the 1967 film it inspired that starred Audrey Hepburn.
The cast includes:

Olivia Marie Rooney as the blind Susy Hendrix
Ezra Hernandez as the ringleader Harry Roat
Justin Thompson as the slick conman Mike Talman
Matthew Witthaus as second-rate conman Sergent Carlino
Steve Cannon as Susy’s husband Sam Hendrix
Natalie Burton as Gloria the precocious neighbor girl
