CFVI Virtual Giving Tree Project Seeks Donations

U.S. Virgin Islands, November 18, 2024  The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands is seeking donations to its fifth annual holiday Virtual Giving Tree project.

"Last year, generous donors allowed us to raise $78,950, which was distributed to 34 USVI nonprofits," said CFVI President Dee Baecher-Brown. "We invite the public to join us once again and help us spread holiday joy by supporting our community's most vulnerable groups."

Funds raised for the project are used to provide seniors, low-income families and children, the unhoused, and others with a variety of needs, including food, personal care products, holiday gift baskets, clothing, toys and more.

"We've reached out to the USVI nonprofit community to identify their organizations' holiday-related needs, and we've received numerous responses," said Baecher-Brown. "Now we're seeking donors to help make their holiday wishes come true!"

Every donation makes a difference:

  • $25 provides essential supplies for one family's holiday meal.
  • $50 offers additional resources for one family, such as toiletries and hygiene products.
  • $75 helps cover the cost of toys and gifts for two children during the holiday season.
  •  $100 provides a full holiday meal kit.

"We are truly honored and excited to receive this support for our cause. We are committed to utilizing this grant effectively and efficiently to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. With your support, we will be able to bring about positive change and create opportunities for individuals in need. Your contribution will make a significant difference in our ability to achieve our goals. Thank you for your belief in our cause and for your support. It is truly invaluable to us."
