The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Detective Diepenhorst has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Champion for Children Award, presented by Bronson Sexual Assault Services. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to the protection and well-being of children in our community.
Detective Diepenhorst was nominated and chosen by the staff at Bronson SAS for her tireless efforts, compassionate approach, and unwavering commitment to victims and their families. She is known for stepping in at a moment’s notice to ensure law enforcement presence during forensic interviews and consistently approaches each case with trauma-informed care and a strong, victim-centered mindset.

In addition to her outstanding investigative work, Det. Diepenhorst’s active involvement with the Justice for Children Conference and her strong partnerships within the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) have further strengthened community-wide efforts in child advocacy.
