Love Living at Home To Receive $25,000 in Funding from Assemblymember Anna Kelles’ Office to Support Scholarship Fund
(ITHACA, NY) - Love Living at Home (LLH) will be receiving a grant through Assemblymember Anna Kelles’ office in the amount of $25,000 to support the David Sprague Sponsored Member Fund. This investment will expand access for up to 60 low-income seniors in Tompkins County, giving them the ability to participate in over 500 events and programs each year, as well as receive volunteer services such as transportation and light home maintenance.
To celebrate both the grant and the 9th anniversary of the organization’s inception, LLH will host a Tompkins County Trivia Fundraiser at Hopshire Farms and Brewery on October 30, 2025. A brief recognition ceremony with Assemblymember Kelles will take place from 4:30 - 5:00 PM, followed by the trivia competition from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The press and public are welcome to attend.
Executive Director Thena Lindhorst shares, “We are beyond grateful to Assemblymember Kelles and her incredible team for their support! Thanks to this funding, the David Sprague Sponsored Member Fund will continue to provide no-cost membership to 15 percent of our members, helping ensure that finances never prevent someone from participating in LLH”.
The October 30th event will feature Tompkins County–themed trivia with teams representing different decades. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume, and Lite Rock 97.3’s Dave Ashton will emcee the competition. In addition to Timeless Hearing, other local businesses will also have the opportunity to sponsor trivia teams.
