LIBERTYVILLE, IL - The New Jewish Home has become the latest Member of Caring Communities, the nation's leading member-owned insurance company providing liability insurance, education and risk management services for not-for-profit senior care and housing.
The New Jewish Home is a health care system serving older adults since 1848. They were the first facility of its kind in the United States to have a full-time professional social worker, the first to have a full-time in-house doctor, and the first to have a teaching system to train professionals in caring for older adults.
“All of us at The New Jewish Home are excited to join Caring Communities," said Dr. Jeffrey Farber, MD, President and CEO at New Jewish Home. "We appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received and the guidance on risk management practices. We are optimistic about the positive impact our relationship with Caring Communities will have on our organization, our staff, and the older adults we serve.”
“We are proud to welcome The New Jewish Home as a Caring Communities Member," Jim Caldwell, CEO of Caring Communities shared. "We are very grateful for the time and effort Liz Weingast, VP of Clinical Excellence, and many others devoted to exploring the opportunity to work with us. This will surely lead to a very committed relationship between our organizations, one that will be of great value to The New Jewish Home. We look forward to welcoming their CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Farber at Caring Communities' Annual Meeting this coming April.”
The New Jewish Home reflects Caring Communities' growing footprint in the industry, as its first multi-campus Member-organization located in the New York City area.
