The series of eight weekend markets will take place at “The Glass Tower” located at 446 Main Street every Saturday starting July 22 through September 9 from 12pm to 4pm, with vendors and activities outdoors in the courtyard and green space.

“The Saturday Mercado will be a great addition to Downtown life this summer, bringing a curated selection handmade and vintage goods, a farmers’ market, delicious local food, entertainment, and more to Main Street,” said Downtown Worcester BID Executive Director Evelyn Darling. “We are especially thrilled to collaborate with partners like K Sense Co. and the Worcester Regional Food Hub to activate the beautiful green space outside the iconic ‘Glass Tower,’ at 446 Main Street – a long-desired goal for the area that’s come up time and again from residents and visitors alike.”

“Saturday Mercados will offer local food from a diverse lineup of participants in the Worcester Regional Food Hub’s food entrepreneurship programs, feeding market visitors delicious food that’s made with love by local small business owners,” said Shon Rainford, Director of the Worcester Regional Food Hub. “Visiting the market will be a great way to taste something new and support some fantastic emerging food entrepreneurs in our community.”

Katherine Aguilar, Founder and CEO of K Sense Co., has previously organized many popular makers’ markets in the area, including several at Redemption Rock Brewing Co. and the Worcester Regional Food Hub Marketplace. Now, she’s looking forward to creating a unique experience Downtown.

“Having organized many different markets and workshops all around Worcester and participated in even more as a creative small business owner myself, I know the impact that markets like this can have on the community,” Aguilar said. “The Saturday Mercado will showcase some of the amazing creative entrepreneurs in our area and bring a fun new way to ‘shop small’ to Downtown Worcester. It’s going to be one of the most vibrant, diverse, creative experiences in the city this summer.”
