OACAA supports Brown's Apprenticeship Hubs initiative
COLUMBUS, OHIO (April 23, 2019) - The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies (OACAA) commends Senator Sherrod Brown for introducing the bipartisan legislation Apprenticeship Hubs Across America Act. This legislation will not only continue to spur economic growth, but it illustrates the value and impact skilled laborers have across the country.

“Apprenticeships have been proven to increase technical skills and average wages for skilled trades,” said Philip E. Cole, executive director of OACAA. “Senator Brown’s introduction of the apprenticeship hub initiative will help people entering the workforce increase their skills and confidence while securing financial stability and self-reliance.”
