WORCESTER, MA – The Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District (BID) and City of Worcester are gearing up for the annual Out to Lunch Festival & Farmers’ Market, which will be back and bigger than ever this summer. The Downtown Worcester BID, which has previously been a supporting partner of Out to Lunch, will be taking the lead on the popular event series for the first time this year, marking an exciting new chapter for the community.
“For over a decade, Out to Lunch has been a vibrant celebration of our city's culture and community spirit. The Downtown Worcester BID is thrilled to lead this event and continue its tradition of bringing people together to enjoy the best of Worcester right here in the heart of the city,” says Downtown Worcester BID Executive Director Evelyn Darling.
“The Out to Lunch Festival & Farmer’s Market is a highlight of our summer event calendar, and we are proud to collaborate with the Downtown Worcester BID to make it even more spectacular. This event showcases the diversity and creativity of our city, and we look forward to seeing it thrive under the BID's leadership,” says City of Worcester Cultural Development Officer Fabian Barracks.
The 2024 Out to Lunch series will include six event dates from Thursday, July 11 through Thursday, August 15, doubling the number of festival dates over last year. Each event will feature live music and performances, a farmers’ market including the Regional Environmental Council (REC), food trucks, local artists and makers, community organizations, a beer garden, and more.
Vendor applications are now open. The Out to Lunch planning team invites local food truck owners and food businesses, artists and crafters, farmers, and non-profit organizations to apply to take part in any or all festival dates by Friday, May 3, 2024. “We encourage local businesses and organizations to join us in making this year’s Out to Lunch an unforgettable experience for our community. We’re excited to welcome back returning Out to Lunch vendors and to also get brand new vendors involved in the event this year. Together, we can showcase the best of Worcester and support our local culture and economy,” urges Darling.
In addition, sponsorship opportunities for Out to Lunch are available now, providing businesses with valuable exposure to thousands of festival attendees.
“Sponsorship of Out to Lunch is not only a fantastic marketing opportunity but also a chance to demonstrate your company’s commitment to the vibrancy and vitality of Downtown Worcester,” adds Darling.
