Briana Mastel

Please join us in welcoming Briana Mastel to the New England Pride!

A native of Wallingford CT, Briana Mastel is joining the New England Pride as a Coach for the U16 Blue team.
Briana attended Choate Rosemary Hall for high school from 2009-2013, lettering in Varsity Field Hockey, Soccer, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse. She served as captain of the ice hockey team during her junior and senior campaigns, and garnished All-New England All-Star First Team honors during her sophomore, junior and senior season. She also served as captain of the soccer and lacrosse teams during her senior year.

In 2012, she competed for the U.S. Women's National U-18 Ice Hockey team, earning a silver medal at the IIHF Championships.

After graduating from Choate, Briana continued her athletic career playing Division I Ice Hockey at Harvard University. During her four years playing for the Crimson, Briana helped the team to a Beanpot title, ECAC championship, 2 Ivy-League championships, and an appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four Final. Briana served as captain during her senior season and was awarded the team's Dooley Award for enthusiasm, sportsmanship and devotion to her team and to the game of ice hockey.

Briana graduated from Harvard in May 2017.
