FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Walnut Creek, CA, May, 2017
- Meals on Wheels and Senior Outreach Services (MOWSOS) is proud to announce that it will build upon its partnership with Tampico Terrace, a state-of-the-art Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Walnut Creek, CA.
"Our key missions are very closely aligned," says Brian Rivera, MA-Administrator for Tampico Terrace. "Like MOWSOS, we are dedicated to providing preventative care and monitoring patient outcomes to reduce hospital
re-admissions and ultimately keep older adults living in the comfort and dignity of their own homes for as long as possible."
Tampico Terrace offers
nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social services to its clients and customizes recovery programs based on individual need. Tampico Terrace is staffed with 24 hour Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses and the "Best" Certified Nursing Assistants in the Bay Area.
California is projected to be one of the fastest growing states in the nation and the elderly population (65+ years of age) is expected to grow more than twice as fast as the total population. Costs associated with hospitalization and readmission will increase as a side-effect.
Because Tampico Terrace is committed to reducing hospital re-admissions and the associated costs involved, MOWSOS has forged a mutually-beneficial and collaborative partnership with them over the past two years.
"We are extremely excited to build upon our already successful partnership with Brian and his staff at Tampico Terrace," says Elaine Clark, Chief Executive Officer for MOWSOS, "and look forward to a productive relationship in 2o17 and beyond.
