Join Forces to Launch Spaceport Camden
“Spaceport Camden is the single most important economic development project in the State of Georgia,” said David Cole of Organic Code Development, LLC and part of a seasoned team on point to bring technology and commerce to Camden County.

Public Safety Radio Project Nears Completion
The final phase of the Public Safety Radio Project is proceeding despite extensive delays related to State and Federal permitting, as well as national impact from the COVID-19 Corona Virus.

The Public Safety Radio Communications System includes upgrades to the Camden County E-911 Center along with three new towers and equipment installation at a fourth site with goal of providing county-wide coverage for all public safety radios, including Camden County Fire Rescue, Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Kingsland Fire and Police Departments, and St. Marys Fire and Police Departments. 

Camden Residents Encouraged to Take Action during Hurricane Preparedness Week
The National Weather Service (NWS) has declared May 3-9, 2020, to be Hurricane Preparedness Week. Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) urges all Camden County citizens to take time to prepare for the upcoming hurricane season beginning June 1.

Reminder: Complete the 2020 Census
Everyone in Camden County counts. And everyone living in your household on April 1st needs to get counted as part of the 2020 Census.

An accurate count informs how billions of dollars in federal funding gets distributed annually for:
  • after school activities,
  • emergency management,
  • health clinics,
  • road repairs,
  • senior services,
  • veterans programs, and
  • hundreds of other programs.
