Calhoun County Senior Expo Returns Thursday, May 22, at Kellogg Arena

Calhoun County Senior Services, in partnership with presenting sponsors Oaklawn Hospital, Bronson Hospital, and 101 Cool FM, is excited to announce the 2025 Calhoun County Senior Expo, which will be held at the Kellogg Arena in downtown Battle Creek on Thursday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This free event is open to older adults (60 and over), their families, and caregivers. The health and information fair will feature more than 100 vendors offering education, resources, and services tailored to the needs of older adults.

Guests can enjoy coffee, tea, and donut holes in the morning. A free lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m., while supplies last. Attendees are welcome to visit as many or as few vendors as they like, many of whom will offer free giveaways. There will also be raffle prize drawings throughout the event, thanks to generous donations from participating vendors.

Please enter through the doors at 1 McCamly Square, accessible via the attached parking structure; free parking will be available during the event. Additional parking is available at Full Blast (35 W. Hamblin Ave.), and shuttle service will be provided for those with mobility concerns. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department will be on-site to assist with traffic control, directions, and general questions.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Interactive Displays such as the Miles for Memories inflatable brain and the Cancer Prevention Coalition’s inflatable colon, “Seymore”
  • Live entertainment by the Battle Creek Chorus
  • Live animal encounters with A.R.K. Animal Encounters
  • Miles for Memories will offer onsite registration for their Help Home and ID Bracelet program

Vendors include a wide range of local businesses, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and health care providers - all focused on serving and supporting older adults in our community.
