If you have ever tried harvesting protein crystals, you know how challenging it can be to mount crystals before the drop starts to dry out. Exposed drops quickly develop skins, precipitate out, or have the crystals deteriorate right before your eyes. You can now easily avoid these undesired outcomes, that can frustrate researchers and reduce the quality of diffraction data. Don't let hard work setting up all of those plates to get crystals go to waste.

Take control of every aspect of crystal harvesting. Avoid dehydration, increase drop working time, prevent degradation, and harvest more crystals from each drop by using the Watershed™ System. The system utilizes a controlled stream of humidified air that helps protect samples from unwanted evaporation and allows users full control of their harvesting parameters.

You asked for it, we delivered. We are now offering a multi-color option for our Universal (Uni-puck) & Cryo-EM Puck systems.
The CombiPuck™ system enables crystallographers to send crystals stored in SPINE standard  magnetic cryovials  to facilities that require  Uni-pucks for automated sample handling .
We are now a convenient location to obtain the p ucks and related tools for use with Rigaku’s ACTOR sample handling system .

" CLA researchers have produced the clearest 3-D images to date of the virus that causes cold sores, herpes simplex virus type 1, or HSV-1. The images enabled them to map the virus’ structure and offered new insights into how HSV-1 works. " ... Rosalind Franklin was an English chemist and X-ray crystallographer, who is best know for her work on X-ray diffraction images of DNA in the 1950s. Her work also contributed to understanding the molecular structures of RNA, viruses, coal, and graphite. Her pioneering work on DNA led to dramatic discoveries that are still impacting research today. She unfortunately passed away at the age of 37. This month, we recognize her for the incredible work done in a challenging time for female researchers.
