• NOISE-INDUCED HEARING LOSS •

We are dedicated to educating you, loved ones and colleagues how to safeguard sensitive hair cells integral to processing precious sounds. You should know which loud noises can cause damage, wear ear protection as necessary and have periodic hearing testing. Be aware that males and those who smoke or have diabetes have increased risk for Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). At home, work and play, we are surrounded by loud sounds every day. By practicing healthy habits, an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure.

Did you know that NIHL is the only preventable type of hearing loss? Learning more and staying safe will be music to your ears.

Maximum Safe Listening Duration by Decibel Level

Research indicates most NIHL is caused by damage and eventual death of sensory hair cells in the ear which, unlike bird and amphibian hair cells, don't grow back.

As research states: “When you are exposed to loud noise over a long period of time, you may slowly start to lose your hearing. Because the damage from noise exposure is usually gradual, you might not notice it, or you might ignore the signs of hearing loss until they become more pronounced.”

Our Patients Say It Best

“I went to their office to have them pair my hearing aids with my iPhone Pro 16 and they not only paired my hearing aids but cleaned them as well. Awesome service!”
