What Coalition Members Are Doing

The Youth Bloom Collective has had a busy month. They launched an Alcohol Awareness Month sticker campaign, placing stickers on pizza boxes at Riko's Pizza, and hosted an awareness table at AITE where they invited teens to share why they choose not to drink and what advice they would offer their peers.

Students shared these reasons for not drinking:

  • "Drinking is bad for your liver and can cause cancer."
  • "Drinking + Driving = Jail."
  • "I want to be healthy."
  • "I want to be in control."

They also had this advice for their peers:

  • "Be around people you love."
  • "Use nature's resources."
  • "Have a safe person in your life."
  • "Don't hang around the wrong people."
