Dear Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention Partner, Friend, Advocate:
You are cordially invited to participate in the 2020 Prevention Policy Day in Olympia on Monday, January 20
to help our planning.)
Prevention Policy Day is a fun-filled day dedicated to youth advocating for healthy community policies through our State’s legislative process.
This annual youth-focused advocacy day is a great way to provide all youth with a voice into the government (making) process.
Prevention Policy Day includes a short youth-led advocacy training and rally with snacks, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, on the South Portico Steps in the Washington State Legislative Building on the Capitol Campus.
In the afternoon, advocates will attend meetings with their legislators to discuss healthy community priorities. Start now setting up your own meetings with your Legislators!
Please bring your youth group or attend solo and join the crowd of advocates.
We want to have as many voices as possible on this day! Lots of advocate voices are needed to relay the messages throughout the Capitol!
Parking is free around the Capitol on January 20, 2020!
We sure hope you can join us! Join us for a great day of advocacy action!
Prevention is the Clear Choice in 2020!
