As previously announced, Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School will become Holy Trinity Catholic Academy, a co-divisional Catholic school for students in grades 6, 7, and 8, beginning in August 2026.

This transition is a strategic and mission-driven effort to better serve our students spiritually, academically, and developmentally. At the heart of this new model is a commitment to same-sex core classes that honor the unique needs of middle school students, while also offering co-educational encore classes and extracurricular opportunities to support healthy social development and a sense of community.

Our transformation is grounded in four foundational pillars that have served as our guiding light:

  1. Upgrading Facilities – Enhancing learning environments to support academic excellence and student well-being.
  2. Increasing Staffing / Improving Structure – Ensuring strong leadership and support systems for every student.
  3. Providing Professional Development – Equipping our faculty with the tools and training needed to thrive in this innovative model.
  4. Developing the Co-Divisional Model – Creating a unique structure that honors the benefits of both single-gender and co-ed education.

We believe this shift will strengthen the spiritual, academic, and social growth of every student entrusted to our care. As we move through this transition, we remain firmly committed to keeping you informed and engaged, with regular updates on the progress of each pillar.

We thank you for your continued support and partnership in this exciting new chapter. Together, we look forward to shaping an exceptional future for Holy Trinity Catholic Academy.

Upgrading Facilities

This summer marks the beginning of Phase I of our transformation journey as we focus on the complete renovation and expansion of the Administration Building.

This project includes:

  • Renovation of five science classrooms/labs
  • Renovation of two general education classrooms
  • Addition of one general education classroom bringing even more learning space to our students

The entire building will undergo significant upgrades, including new flooring, ceilings, and the removal of hallway lockers and bench seating to create a more open and modern environment.

Each classroom will be refreshed with new furniture, paint, flooring, ceilings, and custom cabinetry, providing a vibrant and functional space for both students and teachers.

In addition, our administrative offices will be remodeled to update their appearance and improve workflow efficiencies, ensuring our staff has a professional and well-organized environment to support the needs of our growing school community.

Phase II of the project includes the complete renovation of the Begley Building to include the addition of 4 additional classrooms.

Increase Staffing/Improving Structure

We are moving to the President/Prinicpal model for the upcoming academic year. Mr. Kevin Parks will begin his role as President beginning July 1. Mr. Robert Conrad (Assistant Principal at CCHS) has been promoted to the position of Principal at Holy Trinity. We are in the process of hiring for the Dean of Students position which will round out our Administrative team for the upcoming academic year. We are also adding 2 new Theology teachers (in addition to the 3 we hired this year) in an effort to allow Core teachers to singularly focus on their grade level content while strenghtening vertical alignment within the Theology department.

In addition our Administrative team will be addressing organizational design and staff placement that will service the needs of the new Co-Divisional model.

Providing Professional Development

As Holy Trinity Catholic Academy continues to take shape, we are offering professional development for teachers that both addresses the benefits of single-gender education and gives teachers tools to help maximize student engagement in the classroom. Some examples of upcoming professional development include:

  • All faculty members will complete a course this summer that focuses on brain science and the differences in brain functioning between the sexes.
  • In solidarity with our students, teachers will complete summer reading, choosing from a list that addresses different components of single-gender education and classroom management.
  • We will certify 3 teachers as Trainers for "The Minds of Boys and Girls" program to deliver peer to peer training to our teachers.
  • Our Steering Committee (made up of HT faculty) will deliver a half day back to school training and best practice course for all faculty during our August teacher work days.
  • Mr. Conrad will be taking a group of teachers to Chicago in July to participate in Northridge Institute’s Teaching Foundations Course. Topics will include course planning, classroom management, student engagement, parent communication, and more. Attendees will be sharing what they learn with the rest of the faculty.
  • We are lining up a speaker to engage faculty and families on the co-divisional model and single-sex education for the Fall.
  • We are planning visitations for teachers to shadow exemplary schools around the country who have impleted the co-divisional model.
  • We will be utilizing scheduled "early dismissal" afternoons as single gender professional development days for our teachers

Developing Co-Divisional Model

This summer our Administrative team along with our Steering Committee (made of up HT teachers and Administration) will be working on logistics and best practices for the launch of the full Co-Divisional model that will begin with the 2026-2027 academic year.
