Donation of food and essentials to Rochester families

DETAILS:
Feed the Children, Price Rite of Rochester, and Catholic Family Centers will be providing $100,000 dollars worth of food (a 25-pound box of food), essentials (a 15-pound box of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion), personal care items, fresh produce, and Disney children’s books to 400 low-income local families. In addition, these groups are giving out two backpacks per family filled with new school supplies to help students get ready for school in the fall.

These families have already been pre-screened and this event is not open for members of the general public to accept donations. The distribution of food and essentials will take place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for best visuals. Feed the Children will have a semi-truck on site filled with food and essentials that will be distributed to the 400 families. Volunteers will also be on-site serving and assisting members of the Rochester community.
