JUNE 22: VOLUNTEER & PARTY AT THE SF ACADEMY OF SCIENCE

Join us Thursday, June 22 from 6-10pm at the California Academy of Science LGBTQ+ Pride Party in Golden Gate Park. Be sure to stop by RWF's table to learn about our latest projects and pick up a Pride bracelet. 


Kick off San Francisco Pride in style at NightLife, featuring drag performances by Oaklash - get ready to dance the night away in your fiercest fit, see mesmerizing drag performances, cool science, and more!

JUNE 24 & 25: VOLUNTEER AT SF PRIDE and HELP LGBTQ+ REFUGEES

Celebrate Pride with us! RWF's Rainbow Bus will be parked in San Francisco's Civic Center at the Pride Festival. The Bus' interior lounge will be open. Stop by to learn about our work and to pick up a rainbow wristband or handkerchief.

Volunteer: We are seeking volunteers to be hosts on the Rainbow Bus - Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25. Shifts run 90 minutes to 2 hours starting 11 am to 6 pm. The job is easy and lots of fun. To VOLUNTEER, please send us a message and let us know your availability. 

DISCOVER GUATEMALA: JULY 20-30 LAND OF THE MAYAN PEOPLE

Discover Guatemala - Land of the Maya People: July 20-30, 2023 - Walk with a legendary people! Learn about Mayan spirituality and the realities of the developing world. Explore human rights issues and deliver medical supplies ... be forever changed.


  • Help deliver humanitarian aid
  • Visit the jungle and explore the pyramids in Tikal
  • Sit with a weaver as she designs fabric of brilliant color and listen to her dreams for the future
  • Visit the largest outdoor market in Central America
  • Spend time with a Mayan Shaman - participate in an ancient healing ritual
  • Meet members of the local LGBTQ+ community
  • Hike in a rainforest
  • Take a boat ride on Lake Atitlán in the highlands
  • Visit schools, medical clinics, and the other institutions
  • Meet with the mothers of the civil war disappeared
  • Learn about US foreign policy and the School of the Americas
  • Visit ecological areas -- learn about the fair trade and organic movement
  • Make friends with people who are traveling with you on this journey
  • Use the journey as a path for personal growth, transformation, and healing with the help of our facilitators
  • Witness religious rituals of the local people in Santiago Atitlán
  • Visit Art and Historical museums and other places of cultural interest
