We are so excited for June’s Pride celebrations across Rhode Island! We're thrilled to share this special Pride edition of our newsletter packed with events and happenings from all over the state.


If you're hosting a Pride event or know of one that we should feature, let us know! You can also follow us on social media to stay updated and help spread the word!

Pride Events


Wickford/North Kingstown Pride!


Sunday, June 1, 1:00 to 4:00 PM

1 North Main Street, North Kingstown 

The parade starts at the Town Dock and continues through the Village to Wickford Middle School where there will be a festival with vendors, food, music and fun. Bring the whole family to this great event!

Pawtucket Pride Flag Raising

Monday, June 2, 5:30 PM

City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Ave, Pawtucket, RI


How You Can Get Involved:

  • Join the planning committee to help shape the event.
  • Sign up as a sponsor to support the celebration.
  • Offer resources or services for the LGBTQIA+ community.


This meeting is open to the public, and we welcome anyone interested in making Pawtucket Pride 2025 a meaningful and inclusive event!

East Providence Pride!

Saturday, June 7, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Westerly Pride in the Park

Saturday, June 7, 12 to 2 PM

Wilcox Park, 44 Broad Street, Westerly



Pride is coming to Wilcox Park! Join us as we celebrate Pride Month with activities, food, and fun! 

Woonsocket Pride

Sunday, June 8th, 12 to 6 PM

River Island Park, Woonsocket


This will be our biggest festival yet, featuring 6 hours packed with drag performances and local artistic talent, speeches from community leaders, food trucks and vendors, tables for local organizations, a performance with the LGBTQIA+ flags, and a ton of other activities. And this year, we’re growing our queer artists market, expanding the local resources and trainings offered at the event, filling the stage with even more talent.


West Warwick Pride

Saturday, June 14, 12 to 4 PM

West Warwick Civic Center

100 Factory Street, West Warwick


The West Warwick Pride planning committee consists of several community organizations working together to celebrate the diversity of West Warwick Residents of all ages by providing fun and resources. West Warwick Pride is a grassroots effort that first began in 2022.

South County Pride Festival

Saturday, June 14, 11 AM to 7 PM

327 Main Street, Wakefield


Time:

The event will begin at 11AM and will end at 7PM EST. 

  • Car Parade @ 11:30AM
  • Opening Ceremony @ 12:00PM
  • Live Performances from 1:00PM - 6:30PM
  • ​Drag Performance from 4:30 PM - 6:30PM
  • Cleanup will go from 6:30PM - 7:00PM


Place:

  • Performances will take place on the Contemporary Theater Company's outdoor patio stage, in Sari's Sanctuary, and on the Main Street Green.
  • Vendors will be located in the Contemporary Theater Company's parking lot, along the Saugatucket River, and on Main Street.​


Car Parade:

The parade will begin and end in the Wakefield Elementary School parking lot. Cars will drive around High Street, Church Street, Columbia Street, Main Street, and end back on High Street. 

To participate in the Car Parade, arrive at the Wakefield Elementary School parking lot between 11:00AM and 11:25AM. ​

Pride is right around the corner! The LGBTQ Senior Pride Coalition will be at Boston Pride 4 the People on Saturday, June 14th. We will have two trolleys for up to 75 riders — seats are limited, so be sure to register! You can also register to march the 1.7 miles with us. 


Providence Pride 2025

Saturday, June 21

Parade is at 8:00 pm

Newport Pride

Main Event: Newport Pride Parade & Festival

📅 Saturday, June 28th

Pride Parade | ⏰ 11:00 AM | 📍 Downtown Newport

  • March with Pride! Our colorful parade winds through the local area of Newport, with Pride, bikes, and community spreading love and joy. We will start at the Great Friends Meeting House and visit some of our iconic spots like Equality Park, where the first Newport Pride Fests were held, our rainbow crosswalks, and the Newport Pride Center! 


Pride Festival | ⏰ 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM | 📍Great Friends Meeting House

  • Right after the parade, join us for a family-friendly festival with live music, local vendors, artists, drag performances, food trucks, and more!



Pride After Dark Party | ⏰ 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM | 📍The Parlor

  • When the sun goes down, the party continues! Our After Dark event features headlining DJs and a fun community atmosphere you won’t want to miss. 21+ event. Get your tickets here! 

Block Island Pride

September 12 - 14



Friday, September 12th

Start your engines at the Rainbow Tie-Dye party at The Traveling Seamstress from 4:00-6:00 pm. Sling those colors like you mean it! Then, sashay your way to Drag Queen Bingo at The Island Free Library from 5:00-6:00 pm with Ninny Nothin’ and Darren Tashine. Yasss, darling, come win some fabulous prizes! Cap off your night with a sultry Jazz Bar Speakeasy at Persephone's Kitchen from 6:00-8:30 pm with performances by Kat Kiely. We’re talking smooth jazz and even smoother queens! Then, get ready to party all night at the Liquid Dancefloor Drag Party at Captain Nick's from 9:00 pm-1:00 am with beats by the one and only DJ Chardanaynay! (21+) and performances by Rhode Island drag kings and queens Ninny Nothin, Darren Tashine, and Ava Unit.


Saturday, September 13th

Rise and shine for Drag Queen Story Hour at The Island Free Library from 10:00-11:00 am. Your favorite queens Ninny Nothin and Darren Tashine will be reading fierce stories and spreading glittery joy! At noon, strut your stuff in the Pride March starting at The Ocean View Pavilion. Bring your extravaganza and make some noise! After the march, get your brunch on at The Yellow Kittens from 1:00-4:00 pm with DJ Libre spinning the tunes and performances by Rhode Island drag kings and queens Ninny Nothin, Darren Tashine, and Ava Unit. This show will be family-friendly and absolutely fabulous!



Sunday, September 14th

Get in touch with Mother Nature at the Queerness in Nature program with The Nature Conservancy from 1:00-2:30 pm meeting at Andy’s Way, please carpool if possible. After that, unleash your inner artist in the Surf Shack at the Block Island Beach House for a Life Drawing Class from 3:00-4:30 pm led by island artist Katherine Langlands. For the Grand Finale come gather at the Surf Shack and Shells at the Block Island Beach House to listen to music, drinks and dinner from 5:00-8:00PM. When the sun sets, grab your popcorn and join us for Soundwaves' screening of "To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything" at Town Beach at 6:30 pm (Bring a chair, blankets, snacks and drinks).
